France striker Marcus Thuram, whose team is all set to take on Gibraltar in the third match of the UEFA Euro 2024 Qualifiers, was seen imitating the Portuguese football legend, Cristiano Ronaldo. The 25-year-old footballer was training for the forthcoming game on June 17, Saturday at the Algarve Stadium in Almancil, Portugal, and was seen pulling off the famous ‘Siuuu’ celebration during the session on Tuesday, June 14.

Thuram joined Borussia Monchengladbach in July 2019 on a four-year deal. In March 2023, the club announced that the striker won’t renew his contract at the club. Hence, his tenure there will come to an end on June 30, and as there’s no information of him being signed by any other club, his future remains undercover.

In a viral video on social media, a fan account dedicated to the football great Cristiano Ronaldo, the Borussia Mönchengladbach forward could be seen doing the prominent celebration and mimicking Ronaldo’s trademark jump. Joining him was a young kid, who also imitated the football legend in his own way. The video went viral in no time, amassing engagement in huge numbers.

The Euro Qualifiers are making a return after a long break of two months, and talking about the standings of Group B, France have managed to grab the first spot. While Les Bleus have scored six points in two matches, Gibraltar are placed at the bottom having lost twice in the last two matches. 

Speaking about his side in the tournament, Les Bleus are having a tremendous tournament, and they have managed to win both the games they played in the league so far. Hence, with these wins, they are leading the standings and will be looking forward to maintaining the winning momentum.
