Earlier, on Day four of the fourth Ashes Test, Labuschagne played some brilliant knocks from his bat. However, the Baggy Greens batter expressed his disappointment for not being able to bat throughout the season. He said, “It’s always very special getting a Test hundred. It doesn’t happen too often, but I’m disappointed I couldn’t get us to tea.”

The number 2 Test batter added, “I feel like my game is in a really good space now. Coming into this game, I was confident about my technique and how I was batting. I was confident and got back to my strengths, forcing the bowlers bowl a lot of balls at me and take time out of the game.”
