Former professional football player Marshawn Lynch who switched his career from football to Hollywood will be starring in a new adult teen comedy movie titled “Bottoms”. The movie is all set to release in August 2023 and also stars Rachel Sennott. The American dropped trailer on his social media and judging by it, Lynch plays a significant role in the movie. 

The upcoming movie featuring former Seattle Seahawks follows two queer students as they attempt to start a high school fight club in order to get close to their crushes. Lynch would be seen playing the role of a supervising teacher, “Mr. G”, who helps the students run a self-defence club. The five-time Pro Bowler posted the trailer of his first movie and captioned it, “Peep the trailer… yo boi done made it to the big screen. #BottomsMovie in theaters August 25th + some mo’ cities September 1st.” Though Lynch has made cameos in shows like “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”, "Westworld" and "Murderville," this will be the first time he won’t play himself.

Talking about his football career, he was picked by the Buffalo Bills in the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft. After playing for four seasons with them, he joined the Seattle Seahawks and remained with them for six years. In the 12 NFL seasons, Lynch attained 10,417 rushing yards and 85 touchdowns in 2,453 carriers. Lynch has served as the owner of FCF Beasts since 2022, a professional Indoor Football team founded in 2020.
