The popular fighting video game, Mortal Kombat 1 was announced back in May this year and will feature "reimagined versions of iconic characters." Among those characters, a vampire called "Nitara" has been added to the video game roster and Megan Fox will lend her voice to the character as announced by the game developers NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Games on Wednesday, September 6.
The video game is scheduled to be released on September 19, via PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The decision to add Nitara in Mortal Kombat 1 came after the character's appearance on the bad guy team in the most recent Mortal Kombat movie. The trailer of the Mortal Kombat 1 Gameplay has been showcased for the first time at the Summer Game Fest on June 9, Friday.

Mortal Kombat 1 took to X and shared a trailer of Megan Fox as Nitara on Wednesday night and captioned, "After almost 17 years, the Vampire of Outworld has graced us with her presence. Megan Fox brings Nitara back to life." In the video, Megan Fox stated her fondness for the character and said, "She comes from this weird realm. She’s a type of vampire creature. She’s evil but she’s also good. She’s trying to save her people."

Fox further stated, “I really like her, she’s a vampire, which obviously resonates for whatever reason. It’s cool to be in the game because I’m not really just voicing (the character), she’s kind of…me.” Nitara made its debut in the Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance video game released in 2002.
Warner Bros. Games president David Haddad said, "With Mortal Kombat 1 we are bringing a reimagined universe to the legendary franchise which has captivated gamers for more than 30 years and continues to top itself."
