Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz gave a special gift to Indian skipper Rohit Sharma after the completion of the two-match Test series. Hasan started a bat company named ‘MKS Sports’ alongside Imrul Kayes and his other friends last year. Notably, India hosted Bangladesh for a two-match Test series at home from September 19 to October 1, across two venues, Chennai and Kanpur. After the completion of the series, where India recorded a 2-1 win over their counterparts, Mehidy Hasan gifted a special bat to Indian skipper Rohit Sharma.
In a special video posted by MKS Sports on their Facebook page, the Bangladeshi cricketer could be heard saying that he always wanted to give a bat as a gift to Rohit. The cricketer was visibly seen happy with the same. Mehidy could be heard saying, "I am with Rohit bhai and I gifted him a bat from my company. I always wished to give him a bat and so I am very happy."

The Indian skipper was seemingly delighted upon receiving the gift and he extended his best wishes to the Bangladeshi cricketer for his new venture. Sharma also said that he knew Mehidy from a long time and called him a very good cricketer. Not only this, but he also said that he is proud to see the all-rounder start a new venture and wished him luck for the same.
He said, "I know Mehidy from a long time. He is a very good cricketer. And I am very proud of him that he has started his own bat company along with some of his friends. I want to wish him all the best, May god give him all the success. And I hope this company will rise above everyone else.” Notably, in the recently-concluded second Test in Kanpur, Hasan had dismissed Rohit Sharma twice.
