The Big Bash League 12 opening game between Melbourne Stars and Sydney Thunder will go down in history as one of the best low-scoring games. Adding another entertaining twist to this fixture, substitute fielder Brody Couch produced another moment of brilliance.

The first ball of the last over saw Couch leap in the air to pluck out one of the best catches in BBL history to dismiss a dangerous-looking Chris Green. The Aussie all-rounder smashed Beau Webster towards the long-off region. Here Bordy Couch nearly replicated the iconic 'Air Jordan' pose as he held on to a brilliant one-handed catch and send Green back to the pavilion.

But this magical effort by  Brody Couch went in vain as Thunder's  Gurinder Sandhu scored crucial runs to clinch the game on the last ball of the inning.  Sandhu ended up with a score of 20 in 16 balls which included two fours and one six.

After the game, this important knock along with a spell where he picked up two wickets while giving away just 23 runs. He was proud of his and his team's performance. Sandhu also talked about how staying in the middle helped him bat deeper into the innings.

He said, "I was pretty clear (about the game-changing six). I played with Beau (Webster) for a while and kind of knew what was coming. So the plan was to stay still and swing hard and the rest will take care of itself. The wicket was a bit tricky, some were gripping and sticking and we knew that some of those low totals are gonna get tricky, but it was a great game. "
