Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently showcased a glimpse of his fighting skills on Saturday by posting a video of himself partaking with MMA fighter Khai Hu on social media. The tech billionaire wished the fighter for his debut against Joshua Dillon at Urijah Faber's A1 Combat 5.
The video shows Zuckerberg throwing kicks and punches, working on his defenses and trying some Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ). The clip instantly went viral on the internet as the likes of Joe Rogan, Conor McGregor, UFC champions Alexander Volkanovski and Aljamain Sterling were thrilled to see a tech tycoon taking time out of his day for a seemingly new passion.
"One of my training partners, @khaiwu, is making his @ufcfightpass debut tonight. Go get it Khai and looking forward to a great fight!" Mark captioned the video. In response to the Mark's video, former two-weight UFC champion Conor McGregor commented on the post saying, "Yo!!! F*****g awesome Mark!"
Meanwhile, the UFC commentator Joe Rogan said that he is extremely happy to see this and claimed that training looks solid. "This is great! I’m so happy to see this. Training looks solid too," wrote Rogan.
In a recent interview with Joe Rogan, Zuckerberg spoke about his admiration for MMA and UFC. "After an hour or two of working out or wrestling with friends or training with different folks, its like you are ready to solve all the problems for the day. I really like watching UFC for example, but I also like doing the sport. It's because I have a connection to it," said Mark.
He further revealed that he got super active since COVID and started surfing and foiling and then got into MMA. "There is lot of connection with people who do surfing and jiu-jitsu. A bunch of the guys who I do that with, they kind of have gyms on Kauai and I, basically collected a bunch of recommendations, and trained with this guy Dave Camarillo-Guerrilla Jiu Jitsu-the crazy thing is, it really is the best sport," he concluded.
