The Rohit Sharma-led Team India are having a season to remember at the ODI World Cup 2023. Apart from Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli have been in his form of life, being the second-highest run-scorer after Quinton de Kock in the flagship tournament. The Indian batter has gone on to achieve several feats in the ongoing World Cup.
In a video going viral on X, formerly knock as Twitter, a fan asked former Pakistan cricketer, Mohammad Amir on why he tweets more often about Virat Kohli rather than Babar Azam, who is the top-ranked batter in the 50-over format. Talking in a Pakistani news channel, Geo News, a fan asked Amir that when Virat Kohli hits a century, he tweets and it is not the same for Babar Azam, quoting, “Don’t you consider Babar Azam as the king?” The 31-year silenced the fan s with a three-word reply, adding, “Virat favourite hai”.

Imad Wasim, who was also the part of the panel, also agreed to Amir’s statement, further clarifying that it's not about Virat or Babar, it’s about the important knocks that a player plays. The former Pakistan bowler further added that it is usually the case in match-winning knocks, clarifying that he did when Fakhar Zaman played that knock against New Zealand at the CWC 2023.
Virat Kohli recently equalled Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 49 ODI centuries and has amassed 443 runs, Babar Azam, on the other hand, has scored four half centuries which came against India (50), Afghanistan (74), South Africa (50) and New Zealand (66*).
