In a hilarious incident, Mohammad Rizwan, the wicketkeeper-batter of Pakistan, was spotted on camera asking the Bangladesh batter Taskin Ahmed if he is out or not out, before suggesting his captain Babar Azam for a potential DRS call. On Tuesday, October 31, Pakistan had a very good day with the ball, bowling out Bangladesh for just 204 in the 46th over at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata in the ODI World Cup 2023.

It was the first ball of the 43rd over from Shaheen Afridi, angling down the leg side on a fuller length, which Taskin Ahmed tried to put some bat on, but it went past him through to Mohammad Rizwan. The Pakistani wicketkeeper went up in arms along with his teammates, but when the umpire was unmoved, he asked the batter whether there was an edge on it in a hilarious moment.

The replays later showed that the ball from Shaheen Afridi hit the outside half of the pad before finding the gloves of Mohammad Rizwan. Since the DRS wasn’t taken on this ball by Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, the play carried forward with Bangladesh finding themselves in real trouble.
At the very end, Bangladesh could only manage to put the score of 204 runs on the board within 46th over, with Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Wasim Jr, and Haris Rauf sharing eight wickets among themselves. Apart from the fifty from Mahmudullah, and the pair of 40s from the captain Shakib Al Hasan and Litton Das, the rest of the batter capitulated under the pressure created by the Pakistani bowlers.
