Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan was spotted batting left-handed during the Men in Green's four-day camp at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. After this camp, Pakistan will travel to Ireland for a three-game T20I series which kicks off on May 10 before taking on England in 4 T20Is as their final preparation for the T20 World Cup.

Before this camp at the Gaddafi Stadium, Pakistan hosted New Zealand in a five-match series in which the Kiwis registered a resounding 4-1 win. But in the middle of this series, Rizwan was ruled out due to a hamstring injury as the gloveman missed the final two games in Lahore.

Since the injury scare, Rizwan has recovered well and was spotted batting left-handed at the Gaddafi Stadium. The Multan Sultans captain switched hands against off-spinner Iftikhar Ahmed and Abrar Ahmed. Rizwan slogged a few over the leg side while managing to drive the others in V.

Babar Azam on Pakistan's opening pair in T20Is

On May 6, Pakistan captain Babar Azam was asked about Pakistan's opening partnership conundrum with Rizwan and Saim Ayub emerging as the top contenders to bat alongside the skipper. In a media interaction, Azam said,  "As far as I know, our powerplay score is mostly above 50. Yeah, there have been two or three occasions where we scored in the 30s or around 45. If you are saying we should score 100, then it depends on the form. "

Rizwan and I have a different style of play, with which we have scored 70, we have scored 60, and we have chased down 200, too. Saim [Ayub], however, is a different player. He can have an impact and he is the sort of player who can score 80 runs in five overs."

"We can make mistakes. It's not like we will make 50-60 plus in all games. If we lose two wickets, then we also have to play sensibly.  Next time, we will try to improve. We are working on our batting to get better in the powerplay. We are doing power-hitting practice as well, both against spinners and fast bowlers."
