Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj engaged in a heated argument with Marnus Labuschagne during the first Test. On Friday, November 22, the five-match high-octane drama between India and Australia, Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 kicked off at the Optus Stadium in Perth. During the game, fans witnessed epic Indo-Aussie rivalry as players from both sides engaged in heated clashes. Earlier, Indian stand-in skipper Jasprit Bumrah won the toss and invited the hosts to field first.
The game favoured the home favourites in the first innings as the Aussie bowlers dismantled the Indian batting lineup and bundled them out on 150. Star Indian batters including opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul returned without contributing much to the overall total. The match had almost slipped away for the Indians when bowlers stood up and made up for a poor show with the bat.

Things got spiced up in the second innings of the game, when the hosts came into bat. Indian bowler Mohammed Siraj engaged in a heated argument with Labuschagne during the 13th over when the batter tried to stop the ball. Siraj had bowled a short of length delivery, which ended up nipping back in and hitting his thigh pad. The Indian bowler had a long follow through and the ball was getting close to the stumps.
While Siraj wanted to pick the ball, the Australian batter pushed it away with his bat, which didn’t please the former. This led to a few words being exchanged between the two, while a furious Virat Kohli put off the bails. Siraj tried to kick the ball onto the stumps but Marnus was inside the crease and the ball was far.
