Ahead of the much-anticipated contest between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and the Chennai Super Kings on May 18, the star cast of the upcoming sports-based Bollywood movie ‘Mr. & Mrs. Mahi,’ Janhvi Kapoor, and Rajkummar Rao picked their favourite player among the two Indian stalwarts Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni on Star Sports.
The two greats of Indian cricket are set to lock horns on Saturday, probably for the last time together, as the stake for the IPL playoffs spot looms over. CSK, who are situated at the fourth spot needs to win their game against the home side to advance while RCB needs to snatch victory by 18 or more runs or by chasing the target within 18.1 overs.
Janhvi and Rajkummar, who were invited by Star Sports for the promotion of their film picked their choice among Dhoni or Kohli. The ‘Dhadak’ based actress, while choosing Virat Kohli said, “Unka passion field pe dikhta hai, pitch pe dikhta hai.” On the other hand, the ‘Citylights’ actor, while picking Dhoni as his favourite said, “Vo shaan hai hamare desh ki bharat ki.”
Apart from them, other celebrities from Hindi and South Cinema too had previously picked their choices from two legends of Indian cricket. Rashmika Mandanna, who belongs to Karnataka, picked up Virat as his favourite while Salman Khan had previously said, “Main Dhoni ka fan hoon.” Tamil actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu also declared Dhoni as his favourite player.
