Former Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who is enjoying his time off the cricket field, was spotted at the US Open 2023 men's quarterfinal. The Indian cricket sensation was seemingly having a great time during the quarterfinal clash between Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev on September 7, Thursday.
Dhoni, after the completion of a successful IPL campaign, decided to take some time off and relish it with his family. The 42-year-old made the most of his vacation time in the USA and enjoyed the game that saw the reigning champion Carlos Alcaraz cruising into the semifinals of the ongoing tournament.

In the game that lasted for around 2 hours and 30 minutes, the 20-year-old Alcaraz took down the Olympic champion and 2020 runner-up Alexander Zverev 6-3, 6-2, 6-4. With this, the World Number 1 has made it to his fourth consecutive Grand Slam semifinal. Not only this, but the Spaniard also reached his third major semifinal in this year.
In the semifinal clash of the tournament, Alcaraz will lock horns with the 2021 US Open champion Daniil Medvedev on September 8, Friday. Coming back to the ICC ODI 2011 World Cup winning captain, Dhoni won his fifth IPL trophy in the last season. His team, Chennai Super Kings, defeated Hardik Pandya-led previous champions Gujarat Titans.
