Former India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s love for animals is not hidden from anyone. Apart from his passion and love for bikes and vintage cars, the cricketer is known for his love for animals. Dhoni has more than five pet dogs, one horse named ‘Chetak’, and a pony that he gifted to his daughter Ziva. The cricketer is spending some time off-cricket life and is clearly enjoying it. In one of the recently viral videos, the cricketer was spotted spending time with his horse and the pony. 

Dhoni, who recently visited his ancestral village in Uttarakhand, was spotted with his pet horse and pony. A fan posted a video of the former India wicketkeeper to give the latest glimpse of him, where he could be seen feeding and pampering his pet horse named ‘Chetak’ and a pony. Needless to say, the video of the 2011 World Cup-winning captain quickly went viral on social media.

Dhoni was last seen in action during the 2023 Indian Premier League, where he led his side to their fifth trophy. The 42-year-old cricketer lifted his fifth IPL trophy and equalled Mumbai Indians' skipper Rohit Sharma record. The cricketer was retained by his side Chennai Super Kings, in the recently closed retention window for the IPL 2024. 

While there were speculations that the Ranchi-born would bid farewell to cricket after IPL 2023, Dhoni’s retention clarifies all the rumours. The names of the players that the Chennai-based franchise released ahead of the auction are Ben Stokes (INR 16.2 Crore), Ambati Rayudu (INR 6.7 Crore), Kyle Jamieson (INR 1 Crore), Sisanda Magala (INR 50 Lakh), Dwaine Pretorius (INR 50 Lakh), Bhagath Varma (INR 20 Lakh), Subhranshu Senapati (INR 20 Lakh), and Akash Singh (INR 20 Lakh).
