The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led Chennai Super Kings will take on Delhi Capitals at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Sunday, March 31 in IPL 2024. While the defending champions will enter this fixture on the back of two straight wins, the Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals are yet to open their win account in the 17th edition of the tournament.
As the CSK landed in Vizag ahead of their clash against DC, the former India and CSK captain, MS Dhoni was welcomed by loud cheers along with the team. In the video shared by CSK's social media handles, the former India skipper, who is fondly known as Thala among his fans can be seen meeting a special fan. In the viral video, Thala shook hands and greeted the special fan with a smile.

Speaking of CSK and DC’s last four encounters, DC have failed surpass CSK, suffering defeats by margins of 91, 27 and 77 runs respectively. In 2024 edition of the tournament, while CSK began their campaign with a six-wicket win over RCB, followed by 63-run win over GT. On the contrary, the DC lost their first encounter against PBKS by four wickets and then lost to RR by 12 runs margin in Jaipur.
