Mumbai Indians’ youngster Nehal Wadhera was seen arriving at the airport wearing batting pads. The 22-year-old was roped in for the Indian Premier League 2023 by Mumbai Indians for INR 20 Lakh. He has been consistently performing well throughout the season and came into limelight for hitting the first 100-metre plus six of the tournament. Not only this, but he has also scored a couple of half-centuries in the games against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings, making his mark in the tournament.
In a video shared by the official account of Mumbai Indians, the Jalandhar-born cricketer could be seen walking at the airport wearing batting pads. The reason behind this was his punishment he was given for making it late to the team meetings. The five-time winners of the Indian Premier League shared a video of Wadhera walking with his pads on and was seen quite embarrassed. The video was captioned, “#MumbaiIndians youngster #NehalWadhera turned all heads at Mumbai airport with his punishment #OOTD. He was captured with his pads on instead of traditional jumpsuit. According to our sources, #Nehal regrets being late for batters meeting.”
