Musheer Khan came as a savior for India B in the ongoing opening match of the Duleep Trophy 2024 against India A at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Notably, India's domestic season began on September 5, with India A clashing against India B in Bengaluru and India C locking horns with India D in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh.  The clash between India A and India B saw the batting order collapse of the Abhimanyu Easwaran-led side. The lethal bowling attack by Shubman Gill-led boys reduced the rivals at 94/7. 

Musheer Khan, who made his debut in the Duleep Trophy, came to crease during critical hour. He kept at one end, and reached his maiden century on day 1 of the match. Khan utilised 205 deliveries at a strike rate of 48.8, and showcased a magnificent innings of 100. As soon as Khan completed his hundred, he put his bat in the air and roared in joy as he was applauded by his teammates. Musheer’s elder brother Sarfaraz Khan, who was in the dressing room, erupted in joy and had an emotional celebration of his younger brother's achievement. 

With the help of Musheer Khan’s hundred, India B were finally able to cross the 200-run mark on day one. After losing seven wickets for just 94 runs, Musheer and Navdeep Saini didn’t let any wicket fall for the rest of the day, as India B finished on 202/7 at the end of day 1. Musheer is unbeaten on 105*(227), while Saini has also played a helping hand with 29*(74). 

Musheer Khan's outstanding run in 2024 U-19 World Cup, Ranji Trophy

Musheer Khan is having a great form in the year 2024 so far. The 19-year-old started his year by becoming the second-highest run scorer in the 2024 U-19 World Cup. The right-hander scored 360 runs from seven matches, including a hundred in a match against New Zealand. Musheer also showed great form in the 2024 Ranji Trophy where he scored a double century in the quarter final against Baroda.

Musheer Khan scored 203* runs in the first innings as Mumbai defeated Baroda on the basis of first innings lead in the quarter final. After that, Musheer came up with a match-winning hundred (136 runs) in the final against Vidarbha as Mumbai won the match by 169 runs to lift the Ranji Trophy title this year.
