Coming back to the toss, Bangladesh made one change to their playing XI as fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman, who was deemed unfit, was replaced by fellow seamer Tanzim Hasan Sakib. Further talking about the team, Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan spoke on how they need to end the World Cup well after failing to live up to the expectations.

Speaking at the toss, Al Hasan said,  "We would field first, looks like a very good surface. There was a lot of dew when we practised. There are a lot of expectations but we couldn't fill up. We have two more games and we would like to do well. We have to be technically sound and also mentally sound. We have one change - Mustafiz is not fit enough and Tanzim Shakib comes in his place."
