In a shocking turn of events, Netherlands' batter Logan van Beek managed to score 30 runs in the super over delivered by West Indies' Jason Holder. Playing in the 18th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers 2023, the West Indies posted a massive 374 in the first innings.
Chasing this massive total, the Dutch team managed to push through and level the scores as the match ended as a tie. With the game moving to a Super Over, the Dutch chose to bat and Logan van Beek started off proceedings with a stunning boundary to Jason Holder.
Van Beek got another low-full which he comfortably deposited over long-on before hitting another incredible boundary through mid-wicket. The Dutchman then hit two consecutive sixes and finished off the over with a boundary to take the over tally to 30. Unfortunately for the West Indies, they went on to lose the game by 22 runs.

Reacting to this performance, the Netherlands' captain Scott Edwards was in complete shock and big praise for the team as they put forth a massive combined effort. Speaking in the post-match interview, Edwards said, "Still soaking it in. Can't play a better individual game of cricket. They batted sensationally. We bowled well in patches. We thought we conceded 60 more. We had the belief thought. That innings from Teja and van Beek was special.
"We pride ourselves on our running. You hit gaps and run hard. Logan was in a bit of a trance. I don't think he was listening to me. He was hitting everything for fours and sixes. This was going to be a massive game for us. To go in with two points is good."
