Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons went up against a seasoned Sumo Wrestler during his visit to Japan. Prominent for his defensive artistry in the NFL, Parsons took up his technique to another level as he entered into the dohyo (a place where sumo wrestling bouts occur) to have a 1v1 with a sumo wrestler. The 24-year-old was accompanied by Houston Texans quarterback C.J., Stroud.
The duo are in Japan as part of their Gridiron Imports tour across the Asian continent. They had already made their pitch in the Chinese cities of Beijing and Shanghai, which they will be following with completing their stint in Japan from May 3-9, 2024.
Parsons shakily started the bout as the professional wrestler managed to put the former Penn State player aside in a minute. However, Parsons, who belongs to a competitive wrestling background, turned out against the seasoned professional in his manner as he came out on top in the second bout, thus demonstrating his strength in the arena.

The other member of the tour, Stroud, who was witnessing the action from the sidelines, took advantage as he mimicked his Cowboys compatriot with a "rocking a baby" celebration after he was put aside by the wrestler in the opening bout. The celebration targeted Parsons' fight with relatively his larger opponent in dohyo.
