The Rishabh Pant-led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) continued their winning run in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 as they defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) by six wickets at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. With a comfortable win, LSG made it three wins in a row, thus helping them go to the third place in the IPL 2025 points table.

After restricting GT to 180/6 in 20 overs, on the back of a 61-run knock from Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram’s 58, LSG chased the total in 19.3 overs. During Pooran’s yet another fifty-plus score in IPL 2025, which saw him hit one four and seven sixes, one of his maximums struck a spectator, causing a head injury.

During the match in Lucknow, a fan was left bleeding as soon as the ball struck him on the head. However, the exact six which left the spectator is not known, he was quickly taken to the hospital for a treatment. But as per the video going viral on social media, the fan returned to the ground to celebrate the Lucknow Super Giants’ win.

As per a reporter from Dainik Bhaskar, the spectator even lost consciousness after getting hit and later returned to the stadium after getting treatment. On the back of his 34-ball 61-run knock, Nicholas Pooran recalimed the Orange Cap after GT’s Sai Sudharsan had earlier surpassed him in GT’s inning. The West Indies international now sits at the top with 349 runs from six matches at an average of 69.80 and a strike rate of 215.43.

The Rishabh Pant-led LSG will return to action when they host Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium on Monday, April 14.
