During the 57th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Nitish Kumar Reddy completed a sensational boundary catch to send Quinton de Kock of Lucknow Super Giants back into the pavilion early. At the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, SRH are currently battling it out against LSG in the all-important IPL 2024 clash with huge playoff implications.

After winning the toss, the captain of Lucknow Super Giants, KL Rahul, decided to bat first on a pitch, which seemed quite hard, but the hot weather in Hyderabad deprived it of any grass. In the third over of the innings, Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled a back of a length delivery towards middle and leg, which Quinton de Kock swivelled and pulled towards the deep square leg area.

Nitish Kumar Reddy, who was perfectly placed for the stroke, leaped high to catch the ball, and upon realising that he was going over the ropes, let the ball go in the air. Moments later, he came back into the field of play to complete the catch, to give Sunrisers Hyderabad their first wicket of the night, dismissing Quinton de Kock for two off five balls.
