catch rohit sharma out ipl sportstiger

In the IPL 2023 fixture between Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad, fast bowler Nitish Reddy pulled a stunning catch to dismiss MI captain Rohit Sharma. After putting on 200 in the first innings, the five-time champions took an aggressive approach and were scoring at an incredible rate.

Rohit Sharma, amidst a poor season, also found form and reached his second-only half-century of the season. The MI captain, building on this innings, attempted to take on Mayank Dagar. Facing the first ball of the 14th over, Sharma attempted to hit over covers. But as the ball took the outer edge, Nitish Reddy, fielding at backward point, flew towards his right and completed one of the catches of the season.

But this catch didn't stop the Mumbai Indians as the five-time champions went on to win the game by eight wickets. The star of the chase was all-rounder Cameron Green, who scored his maiden T20 century in 47 balls.

Reacting to the loss and the disappointing season, SRH captain Aiden Markram. He said,  "It was a decent effort with the bat today. You need a lot more than 200 against MI. The boys played well, unfortunately, ended up on the wrong side. It's been a great challenge this year (leading the team), great group of guys, we are on the younger side, great bunch to be around. We have learnt a lot as a team. Great (about Vivrant and Mayank putting on a hundred partnership). It was an opportunity for the guys and they grabbed it with both hands. Someone like Klassy (Klaasen) and Bhuvi (Bhuvneshwar), did consistently well throughout the season."
