The Serie A match between Genoa and AC Milan at the Luigi Ferraris on Saturday night was full of action as the Rossoneri beat the hosts 1-0 while two red cards were shown in the game. Apart from that, Milan striker Olivier Giroud switched his role from one end to another as he became the goalkeeper in the final minutes of the match and produced a sensational save.
The 37-year-old French striker replaced his compatriot Mike Maignan in the 97th minute as the Milan goalkeeper was sent off for a serious foul play. The incident took place after Christian Pulisic put the visitors in front with his 87th-minute winner.
After wearing Maignan's shirt and gloves, Giroud brought his inner goalkeeper and went on to make a sensational save in the dying moments of the match to help his side clinch the three points from the Serie A 2023-24 fixture. Genoa's George Puscas’ last-gasp effort was saved brilliantly by the brave Frenchman.
