The second Test between New Zealand and England has been a run-fest. While the visitors declared the innings at a score of 435/8 after being invited to bat first, the hosts now trail by 297 runs at the end of Day 2 of the ongoing Test.

On Day 2 with the scoreboard reading 96/5 for the Kiwis, Ollie Pope pulled off a brilliant catch to dismiss New Zealand all-rounder Daryl Mitchell. On the final ball of the 33 rd  over of the New Zealand first innings, Pope who was stationed at silly point took a stunner to dismiss Mitchell. Video of the same is now doing rounds on social media.

Talking about the match, the Kiwis are struggling in the middle. They have so far scored 138 runs at the loss of seven wickets and still trail by 297 runs. Having won the first Test, England is already out of contention for the WTC Final with the defending champions also out from the race, as they are placed eighth in the standings.
