In the middle of the fourth T20I between New Zealand and Pakistan at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui, the Pakistani players took a small break during New Zealand. The break was to perform iftar as a benched player can be seen coming on the field with a tray. After that, most of the Pakistani players who were on the field took time to break their fast and perform iftar on ramadan.

Notably, a month of ramadan in going on which is the ninth month of the islamic calender. It is observed as a month of fasting by the muslims all over the world and they break their fast when the sun goes down. The similar incident took place during the New Zealand vs Pakistan fourth T20I where the Pakistani players also performed iftar during the evening time.

Talking about the match, New Zealand registered a dominant 115-run win over Pakistan in the fourth T20I against Pakistan. With this win, the black caps have also won the five-match series by 3-1 with one game to go. Batting first, New Zealand posted 220/6 in their 20 overs. Finn Allen top scored with 50(20) runs hitting six fours and three sixes, while skipper Michael Bracewell also contributed with 46*(26) runs along with 44-run knock by Tim Seifert. For Pakistan, Haris Rauf took three wickets, Abrar Ahmed scalped two, while Abbas Afridi put one his bag.

 

Chasing the winning target, Pakistan had a poor show with the bat as they were bowled out for just 105 runs in 16.2 overs. Abdul Samad was top scorer with 44(30) runs while Irfan Khan Niazi scored 24 off 16. Apart from that, none of the Pakistani batters could score more than 10 runs. For New Zealand, Jacob Duffy took four wickets, Zakary Foulkers scalped three, while James Neehsamm, Will O’Rourke and Ish Sodhi scalped a wicket each.
