Pakistan U19 team captain and wicketkeeper Saad Baig completed a hilarious catch to dismiss the Indian opener Adarsh Singh in the ACC U19 Asia Cup, 2023. After being invited to bat first, the Men in Blue had a slow start after being reduced to 46-2 as Pakistan picked up quick wickets.

Adarsh Singh, with captain Uday Saharan, stitched up a crucial partnership which ended as Singh nicked Arafat Minhas' off-stump delivery. Saad Baig caught it between his legs as the ball zoomed back towards the keeper. Immediately, elated with the catch, Baig ran celebrating while a disappointed Adarsh Singh walked back after scoring 62 in 81 balls with four fours and a six.

After Singh's wicket, Uday Saharan completed his half-century and built another crucial stand with Sachin Dhas, who played a high-tempo knock that carried India to a respectable total. The Indian captain scored a gritty 60 in 98 balls with five fours while Dhas smashed a dazzling 58 in 42 balls which saw him hit two fours and three sixes.

With these performances, Team India managed to post 259-9 in their 50 overs. For Pakistan, right-arm pacer Mohammad Zeeshan was the pick of the bowlers as he took four wickets while giving away 46 runs in his 10 overs. Supporting Zeeshan, Amir Hassan and Ubaid Shah picked up two wickets while Arafat Minhas took one scalp.
