Speaking of Australia's innnings, the Kangaroos put a massive score of 367 runs on the board for their rivals to chase. The opening duo of Mitchell Marsh and David Warner contributed 259 with both of them scoring hundreds. After Marsh's 121 off 108 balls knock, he said, "Very nice birthday present, I feel like I have played a lot of cricket on my birthday and never got over 10. Nice to contribute today, to have that partnership with Davey was awesome."
Marsh added, "We know this can be a high-scoring ground, I have played here a lot, I have missed out a lot, it was nice to cash in today. Pakistan bowled pretty well in the powerplay, we sort of cashed in. Probably would have liked a few more, but I thought Pakistan bowled really well. Our communication and connection today as a partnership was fantastic."
