After winning the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) Test series 3-1 against the Indian cricket team, Australian captain Pat Cummins was talking in the press conference at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) when he was adorably interrupted by his three-year-old son Albie. The journalists present in the press room were treated to the adorable moment between Pat Cummins and his son, which could be considered a best possible end to an enthralling series between India and Australia.

In the fifth and final Test of BGT series, Australia defeated India by six wickets on day three at the Sydney Cricket Ground, chasing down 162-run target with relative ease after opposition captain Jasprit Bumrah didn’t bowl due to back spasms. Scott Boland took 10 wickets in the match, including a six-wicket haul in the second innings of India, to take home the player of the match award, while debutant Beau Webster delivered an impressive all-round performance as well.

Pat Cummins led Australia to famous BGT series victory after 10 years

During the press conference at the SCG, Pat Cummins was discussing the impact of debutant Beau Webster in the fifth Test of the BGT series, who scored a fifty in the first innings before a quick-fire 30 in a tricky run chase apart from opening his account in the wickets column. While talking about Webster to the journalists, Cummins was adorably interrupted by his son, calling him “dada” before he responded to him, “I am here.”

Moreover, Pat Cummins was one of the top performers for Australia, not only with the ball, but with the bat as well in the BGT 2024-25. He picked up 25 wickets in 10 Indian innings at an average of 21.36 and a strike-rate of 40.08 with one five-wicket haul at the Adelaide Oval, to help kick-start the comeback for the hosts after they had lost the first Test match by 295 runs at the Optus Stadium in November 2024.
