In match 28 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, the Shreyas Iyer-led Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are hosting Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Earlier in the match, it was Shreyas Iyer-led who won the toss and invited the visitors to bat first.
After wickets in regular succession during the LSG inning and a brilliant catch by Ramandeep Singh, the match saw another brilliant scalp. In the 12th over of the LSG inning, wicketkeeper-batter Phillip Salt produced a MS Dhoni-esque like catch to dismiss Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis.
Salt, who is known to be a good observer of the ball behind the wickets, showcased a similar move as he moved to his right and leaped to complete a good two-handed catch. With this, KKR got two wickets in consecutive overs, video of which is now doing rounds.
