Royal Challengers Bengaluru mates Tim David and Phil Salt showed an example of perfect teamwork to complete an spectacular relay catch to dismiss Deepak Chahar in the final over of a high-scoring thriller against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium on Monday. With MI requiring 19 runs of the last over, Krunal Pandya dismissed Mitchell Santner on the first ball of the over. On the very next delivery, new batter Deepak Chahar tried to smash a big shot against the RCB spinner which went towards long off.

The ball couldn’t cross the line as Phil Salt took a spectacular running catch near the boundary. However, Salt wasn’t in control as he threw the ball toward Tim David and went past the boundary rope. After that, David did no mistake on grabbing the ball as the English and Australian duo ended up taking a spectacular catch with great teamwork.

Virat Kohli completes 13000 runs T20 cricket, becomes first Indian to achieve the feat

Talking about the match, RCB defeated MI by 12 runs at Wankhede to register their third win in IPL 2025. Along with this, star RCB batter Virat Kohli also achieved a new milestone as he completed 13000 runs in his T20 career. The opening batter scored 67 runs off 42 balls and now has 13050 runs from 403 matches in his career in T20 cricket including international and IPL.

Virat Kohli is now the fifth batter in history to reach the milestone of 13000 T20 runs and the first cricketer from India to achieve the feat. Former West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle tops the list with 14562 runs in 463 runs. While Alex Hales, Shoaib Malik and Kieron Pollard are also ahead of Kohli in the list.
