Gujarat Titans all-rounder Rahul Tewatia pulled off an incredible diving catch to dismiss Rilee Rossouw on the first ball of his innings. The defending champion got off to a decent start as they managed to reduce the Delhi Capitals to a score of 67.  In the eighth over of the game, Alzarri Joseph cleaned up DC captain David Warner with a darting full ball.

Then on the immediate next ball, the West Indian seamer sent out a steaming bouncer at Rossouw. The South African batters ducked but managed to get top-edged as the ball flew towards the backward point. Here Tewatia made a full stretch dive and completed a stunning low catch.

The wicket certainly derailed the Delhi Capitals' innings as they continued to lose wickets at regular intervals. With this sub-par batting display, the Delhi franchise managed to post 162 in their 20 overs. Then in the second innings, Gujarat Titans, after a troubling start, comfortably chased down the total with 11 balls to spare.

Reacting to this performance, Delhi captain David Warner cited losing early wickets as the main reason behind the loss.  He further spoke about how the team has six more games in Delhi to build the Arun Jaitley stadium into a fortress.

He said, "Don't think I was surprised (early movement for GT seamers). It did swing a lot more than anticipated. And from the other end, it kept a little low. They showed how to adapt to situations. Got another 6 games here. Have to be on point and expect that swing in the first few overs. "
