Chennai Super Kings batter Rahul Tripathi showed a brilliant display of athleticism in the ongoing IPL 2025 clash against Lucknow Super Giiants at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Running backwards, Tripathi took an stunning catch near long off as Khaleel Ahmed dismissed Aiden Markram to give CSK a first breakthrough in the very first over of the match.
On the last ball of the first over, Aiden Markram tried to flick away the hard length delivery by Khaleel Ahmed but ended up edging the ball which went high in the air. Rahul Tripathi ran backwards towards long off and ended up taking a stunning catch as LSG lost their first wicket in the very first over.

CSK bowlers dominate LSG batters at Ekana Cricket Stadium
Talking about the match, coming to bat first after losing the toss, LSG didn’t get a great start as they lost two wickets for 23 runs after four overs. Aiden Markram was dismissed by Khaleel Ahmed in the first over after scoring just six runs, while Nicholas Pooran also lost his wicket to Anshul Kamboj on the last ball of the fourth over with just eight runs in front of his name. After that, Mitchell Marsh and skipper Rishabh Pant did a little recovery and put up a partnership of 50 runs for the third wicket.
Mitchell Marsh got out after scoring 30 off 25 balls, hitting two fours and two sixes. After that, Ayush Badoni joined RIshabh Pant as both the batters added another 32 runs before Badoni got out after scoring 22 runs off 17 balls, hitting one four and two sixes. Currently, Pant is still at the crease taking the innings further Abdul Samad.
