South Africa's Rassie van der Dussen completed a spectacular catch to dismiss Indian wicket-keeper KL Rahul in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. Batting first, the Men in Blue got to a blistering start with Rohit Sharma smashing the Proteas all around Eden Gardens. But after his wicket, India's scoring rate went down before Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer carried the team out of the slump.

As Iyer eventually perished after a well-made 77 in 87 balls, KL Rahul made way and struggled from the get-go. Languishing at 8 in 16 balls, the Indian gloveman attempted a slog towards the leg side against Marco Jansen. As the mistimed ball went high up in the air, van der Dussen charged in and completed an incredible sliding catch to dismiss Rahul.
