Former England all-rounder Ravi Bopara brought his top game against India in Hong Kong Sixes match on Saturday, November 2. The former Three Lions player smashed Team India skipper Robin Uthappa for six sixes in the fourth over of the match at a ground in Mong Kok.
With England scoreboard reading 36/0 after three overs, Robin Uthappa got into the attack to bowl the fourth over. The over proved to change the momentum of the game as Ravi Bopara hit five consecutive sixes off the first five deliveries, followed by a wide ball from the former India batter. The England cricketer then smashed Uthappa for another six on the final delivery, totaling to six sixes in the over.

England added 37 runs off the fourth over to their 36/0 on the back of Ravi Bopara’s brilliant heroics with the bat. The former England international then went on to smash the seventh six against Shahbaz Nadeem in the very next over, completing his half-century off just 14 balls.

Speaking of the match, England posted 120/1 in six overs. In reply, India got off to a good start with Bharat Chipli and Shreevats Goswami playing quick-fire knocks to start their innings. Team India skipper Robin Uthappa failed to make a solid contribution with the bat as he fell for a golden duck. Thereafter, Kedar Jadhav played a fighting knock of 48* (15) with the help of four fours and five sixes but could not help India to chase the target as they were restricted to 105/6 in six overs.
