In match 34 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are hosting the reigning champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Earlier in the match, the KL Rahul-led side won the toss and invited the visiting side to put the score first.
On the back of an unbeaten half-century from all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and a quick cameo from MS Dhoni, the side posted 176 runs on the board. LSG, in pursuit of the 177-run target, kick started with the proceedings with their openers stitching a 100-run stand and scoring their respective half-centuries.
While brilliance from MS Dhoni helped CSK draw the first blood in Quinton de Kock, KL Rahul also had to depart after a stunner from Ravindra Jadeja. With Matheesha Pathirana coming in to bowl the 18th over of LSG inning, he bowled a short, wide. KL Rahul opted to slap it hard at the man towards point and Jadeja, who was positioned well, dived to his left to complete a clean catch and dismiss KL at the score of 82 off 53 balls.

Speaking of the match, LSG pulled a brilliant win with six balls to spare. With KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock stitching a crucial 100-run stand up the order and Nicholas Pooran finishing off things, LSG registered their fourth win of the season.
