The Shimla native was watching the auction with her Indian teammates in South Africa and had a priceless reaction to being picked by RCB. As the Royal Challengers Bangalore won the bidding war the Indian team crowded Renuka Singh celebrating the moment. Then the players were chanting RCB!, RCB!, RCB! As Smriti Mandhana hugged her new WPL teammate.

Renuka Singh has become one of Team India's top performers in 2022 as she  was recently named the ICC Emerging Women’s Cricketer of the Year. Singh beat Darcie Brown from Australia, England’s Alice Capsey and her teammate Yastika Bhatia to become the recipient of the honour.  The 27-year-old was also included in the ICC T20I and ODI Teams of the year.   She burst onto the international stage and picked 40 wickets for her country in 2022 in just 29 matches across ODIs and T20Is.

Singh was touted to be India's next top seamer as Women's cricket legend Jhulan Goswami announced her retirement. Renuka has especially dominated in the 50-over format and has taken 18 wickets at an average of just 14.88.  Like Renuka, her family also had a priceless reaction as they were distributing sweets to celebrate this moment.
