In what came to be a high-scoring fixture of the ongoing tournament, South African cricketer Reeza Hendricks took a stunning sliding catch to end Charith Asalanka's innings.

Asalanka was batting alongside skipper Dasun Shanaka at 79, when Hendricks, who came as a substitute in the game, took a stunning sliding catch to end his innings and send him back to the pavilion off a Lungi Ngidi delivery. Notably, the Proteas player hit eight boundaries and four maximums to take the team's total to 232.

After Asalanka, Dunith Wellalage came to crease but was sent back to the pavilion without him being able to open his account. Speaking of the Sri Lankan innings, wickets fell quickly for their side as Pathum Nissanka was sent back to the pavilion, without any run in his account. The Proteas ended up winning the game by 102-run margin as they knocked out their rivals at 326 runs in 44.5 overs.
