India’s one of the newest batting sensations Rinku Singh celebrated his fifty in style. Singh recorded his third T20I fifty on Wednesday, October 9, as India locked horns with Bangladesh. After thrashing Bangladesh by seven wickets in the first T20I, India, under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav hosted their neighbours for the second match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossasin Shanto won the toss and invited the hosts to bat first.
India, who were seemingly confident, got off to a shaky start as Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma returned to pavilion after short stays of 10 and 15 runs, respectively. Not only this, but even skipper Sanju Samson failed to play a decent innings and returned after scoring just eight runs off 10 balls. When the situation was about to go out of hands, youngsters Rinku Singh and Nitish Kumar took steering in their hands and came up with their respective fifties.

Earlier, during the toss, Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav said, “We wanted to challenge our bowlers to bowl with the wet ball and see what we can do. The amount of talent in the dressing room, it's very difficult to express that. I am just happy sitting back, relaxing now, watching them play and my job has become very easy. You have to be one step ahead when you're playing this format. (Pitch) Looks very good, let's see how it goes.”
