Indian batter Rinku Singh smashed a massive six to finish the game for the Men in Blue against Australia in the first T20I in Vizag. Starting with the ball, Team India was straight away under pressure as Steven Smith and Josh Inglis built a massive 132-run partnership. Soon Inglis completed his maiden international ton as Australia posted a massive 209-run target.

Men in Blue, after a streaky start, were back on track as captain Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan put up a 100+ partnership. Despite Kishan's wicket, SKY continued his hitting clinic and eventually got out at 80 in 41 balls. Here, India needed 14 more runs when the Aussie pacers managed to pull things back.

Though Rinku Singh was batting well at the other end, India lost three consecutive wickets in the final over and were still one run away from the win. Singh, back on strike, smashed Sean Abbott for a massive six down the ground to finish off the game. But as Abbott had delivered a no-ball the six wasn't counted in Rinku's tally.

In the post-match interview, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav praised Rinku Singh's performance and said:  "The atmosphere was amazing, thanks to the crowd. Was great to see how the boys kept their nerves. Was great to see Rinku, the situation was tailor-made for him. He was calm and collected, calmed me down a little bit. Incredible achievement from the bowlers to restrict them to this total after the 16th over."
