The match number four of the IPL 2025 will be played between Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants in Visakhapatnam on March 24. It is going to be an exciting contest as DC’s former skipper Rishabh Pant will be seen leading LSG against them in the first match. On the eve of the match, Pant had a reunion with his former DC teammate, Axar Patel, who will be seen leading the franchise in the ongoing season after his departure. In a video posted by DC on their official X handle, Patel can be seen looking for Pant as he asked Ravi Bishnoi, “Where has he gone (Rishabh)?”

After that, Axar Patel finally got to meet with Rishabh Pant as both the players shared a light-hearted conversation. In a video, Pant can be seen asking Axar, “are you getting to bat or not?” to which Axar replied with “you are not there right, so i will obviously get time to bat. Your fight was against yourself.” Through this conversation, both Pant and Axar revisited the time when they used to practice in the nets while Pant was a part of DC’s squad. The video was shared by Delhi Capitals with a caption, “Batting aur vibe dono mil rahi hai.”

Our game has to evolve: Axar Patel on DC’s gameplan ahead of IPL 2025 campaign

Axar Patel is set to lead Delhi Capitals in IPL 2025 and his first assignment will be against Lucknow Super Giants on March 24. On the eve of the match, Axar said how he will work to change the style of play in the DC squad. He also said that he doesn’t want to complicate things for the players.

“Nowadays, cricket has changed a lot. IPL is more of a batter’s game - fours and sixes. So, as a team, our game has to evolve. At the end of the day, I don’t want to complicate things. As a captain, I told the group to keep it simple. A good yorker is a good yorker ball and if your execution is good, then you will be fine. So, I’m not into telling so much that you should go for this and that. I’m not giving too much information. I’m just telling to keep it simple. And that’s my strategy throughout the tournament,” Axar Patel was quoted as saying by Sportstar.
