Rishabh Pant, the Indian wicketkeeper-batsman who is recovering from injuries sustained last year, has started intense fitness training. Pant’s recovery has been faster than expected, and the left-handed batter has already started proper batting practice along with fitness drills.

The 25-year-old, who has been keeping everyone updated, recently posted another clip in which he is cycling on a stationary bike. It is visible that the cricketer is still not fully fit and has some difficulty exercising smoothly, but his progress has been better than expected.

Pant shared the video on social media, captioning it, “Grip. Twist. Paddle. Good vibes only."

Pant had met with a horrific accident on December 30, 2022, when his car collided with a road divider on the Delhi-Dehradun highway. Pant suffered serious injuries to his head, back, and feet and was rushed to a hospital in Dehradun. Since then, Pant has been undergoing rehabilitation at the NCA under the supervision of experts and is expected to be back sooner than initially predicted. The exact date for his return is yet to be known, but fans will hope the flamboyant batsman will return soon.

DC captain David Warner reacts on Pant's road to recovery

David Warner replaced Pant as the Delhi Capitals captain in IPL 2023, but the Capitals missed the wicketkeeper batsman badly, finishing ninth. The Aussie opener was quick to leave a wholesome comment under his IPL teammate’s post, as he wrote, “This make me smile and very happy.”

Although the Capitals had a disappointing 2023 season, Warner crossed the 500-run mark in the IPL for the seventh time - the most by any batsman. The left hander scored 516 runs at an average of 36.86 but with a slower strike rate of 131.63.
