Rishabh Pant, the star cricketer for Team India and Delhi Capitals, was spotted walking out of the airport at Mumbai along with his team earlier on May 24. The fans in attendance were also seen taking selfies with the 25-year old as he walked past them with a smile on his face.

The Roorkee-born cricketer was seen wearing a brace in his right knee while stepping out of the airport in Mumbai without crutches. The video of this moment has been posted on various social media platforms and it has gone viral since then.

For the unversed, it was in the early morning hours of December 30 last year, when Rishabh Pant got involved in a horrific car incident on a highway at Roorkee, while he was on his way home from Delhi to meet her mother in a surprise visit.

The Indian wicketkeeper-batter managed to escape from the car in the nick of time before it went up in flames. He got severely injured in the process and required surgery afterwards to repair the right knee ligament tear.

Recently, on his road to recovery, Rishabh Pant posted a story on his Instagram with the hashtag NCA, which indicated that his rehabilitation has begun at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. The potential return of Pant to the Indian team is still unknown, but the steady progress made by him in recent months will keep him and the fans optimistic about what’s to come in the near future.
