The India - West Indies three-match ODI series currently stands levelled 1-1 with the visitors clinching the opening ODI whereas the hosts bounced back in style to win the second ODI of the series. With the match now going into the decider, the Men in Blue are already in Trinidad ahead of the final ODI, set to be played on Tuesday, August 1 at the Brian Lara Stadium. Notably, on their arrival in Trinidad, the Rohit Sharma-led Team India got to meet West Indies great Dwayne Bravo.

In a video shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Bravo who recently finished his campaign with the Texas Super Kings in Major League Cricket 2023, met with the Indian team. The 39-year-old Trinidadian cricketer met his Chennai Super Kings teammates including Ravindra Jadeja and Ruturaj Gaikwad along with other players including Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan to name a few.

Will Virat Kohli play the 3rd ODI?

It is to be noted that Virat Kohli did not take the field to bat in the first ODI and was then benched in the second ODI, which India lost by six wickets. Having said that his participating in the series decider remains under doubt. Ahead of the third ODI, former India cricketer Virat Kohli did not travel to Trinidad with the team as reported by local media. However, it was later reported that the batting great will joining the side in Trinidad later, his availability to take the field for the final ODI still remains unclear.

However, Indian head coach Rahul Dravid hinted that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli could be rested for the final ODI as the team continues to experiment with the Asia Cup and World Cup coming ahead. "Honestly, this was out last chance to try some our players. We have got four of our players who are injured and are in the NCA. With days to go for the Asia Cup and then the World Cup, we are kind of running out of time in a lot of ways. And we are hoping that some of them will be for Asia Cup and the World Cup but we can't take those chances."
