As the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 progresses further, in match number 29, Delhi Capitals (DC) will host the five-time champions, Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in the national capital. However, both teams will be coming off a contrasting result in their respective previous matches, the Axar Patel-led DC will aim to continue their winning run as they host MI in their first home game in Delhi.
But ahead of the match, a horrific thunderstorm clouded the national capital as the players were busy practising in the nets. During the training session at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, a sudden dust storm disrupted their practice. What followed was a pleasing sight as former skipper Rohit Sharma was quick to alert his teammates and ask the players to return to the sidelines.

In the video shared by the MI Paltan on their X account, the players along with members of the support staff were seen sprinting off the field as strong winds took over the stadium. Former MI skipper and top-order batter, Rohit Sharma at this time also brought his usual humour as he was seen yelling “comeback” while the MI members ran off the ground.

As the cameraman zoomed in at Rohit, the batter quickly got into his zone and told him to capture the dramatic visuals of the stadium with the dust storm damaging the venue rather than focussing on him. However, before the storm approached, all players and members of the support staff managed to reach safely.
Speaking of the Mumbai-based franchise, the Hardik Pandya-led side are currently placed at eighth position in the IPL 2025 points table, having lost four of their five matches so far in the tournament. While they will hope to overturn their result results with only nine matches left for them.
