Mumbai Indians (MI) opener Rohit Sharma took time off from the team and spent some quality time while enjoying water sports in Jamnagar. Rohit was seen boating in the coastal city. It is to be noted that MI opened their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 campaign with a four-wicket loss at the hands of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on March 23. In MI’s defeat, their batting unit made a major contribution with their dismal batting show on Chennai’s slow track. Rohit also failed to give a fierce start to the side after getting dismissed on a duck at the hands of pacer Khaleel Ahmed in the first over of the match.

However, Rohit will look to forget his previous disappointing performance to go with confidence in Ahmedabad, where his team will next play against Gujarat Titans (GT) on March 29. Three days ahead of the crucial game, Rohit took a hiatus to enjoy his time on the beach in Gujarat’s exquisite city. In a viral video, the MI veteran can be seen navigating the waters along with Tilak Varma and two members of support staff.

Hardik Pandya to return as MI skipper in IPL 2025 clash against GT

Hardik Pandya, who couldn’t show up against CSK due to one-match ban, is set to return to helm in MI’s next match against GT. The 31-year-old’s addition will bolster Mumbai in every department of the game. MI have shown faith in Hardik’s leadership despite miserable IPL 2024 campaign.

This time, Hardik’s responsibility will be to lead from the front. In 2024, when MI confronted GT in Ahmedabad, Hardik was booed by spectators at the stands, for ditching Gujarat to join MI as skipper. The match concluded in the 2022 champions’ favour as Mumbai fell six runs short while chasing 169 runs. After a year, it will be interesting to witness whether GT fans have forgotten old memories related to Hardik.
