The opening day of the third Test between India and England saw some surprises as well as some bizarre moments. While Sarfaraz Khan receiving his Test cap and celebrating this moment with his family, including father Naushad Khan and wife stole the limelight, as the match progressed, the debutant’s wicket was also the talking point of the day.

The 26-year-old Sarfaraz Khan took the field after Mark Wood ended Rohit Sharma’s stay in the middle, the debutant was dismissed in a huge mix-up after he smashed his maiden Test half-century. Ravindra Jadeja, who was nearing his Test ton called for a single off Jame Anderson’s fifth delivery, but was quick to call it down.

In the meantime, Khan who took some strides, reaching halfway through the crease, returned but fell short, giving his wicket. This dismissal of Sarfaraz Khan did not ret well with skipper Rohit Sharma as he was left fuming in anger. The 36-year-old also three his cap in disgust and uttered some abusive words in frustration.

Moreover, Ravindra Jadeja, who was also a part of the mix-up in the middle was left disappointed with this wicket as he did not celebrate his fourth Test century with much joy and rather hit his usual sword celebration.
