The field is all set for much-awaited Asia Cup 2022. The tournament is set to commence on Saturday (August 27) with Sri Lanka taking on Afghanistan in Dubai. All the teams are already in Dubai ahead of the start of the tournament, players are taking out some time to interact with other teams and some fans.

 

While earlier former skipper Virat Kohli was seen getting clicked with Pakistani fans and even the players of the Men in Green, its India’s all-format skipper Rohit Sharma who took some time out to interact with the fans.

 

Rohit Sharma went outside the field to meet some of the Pakistani fans during the training session at the ICC Academy in Dubai. The 35-year-old also fulfilled their wishes of hugs and handshakes despite a security barrier.

One of the fans even joking said that Rohit should remain calm in the clash against Pakistan. He said, “Rohit bhai se request hai ki Pakistan ke khilaf haath thoda halka rakhe”, which even the others replied with a laugh.

 

India is set to take on Pakistan in the Asia Cup on August 28 (Sunday) at the Dubai International Stadium. The last time the two teams met during the T20 World Cup, the Men in Green registered a thumping victory.
