The Rohit Sharma-led Men in Blue are all set to take on West Indies in a multi-format series, starting July 12. The first of the two-match Test series will be played at Windsor Park in Dominica. But ahead of the first Test, the Indian captain Rohit Sharma was seen in an all new avatar.
The 36-year-old Indian skipper turned to a reporter ahead of the first Test as he was seen interviewing his deputy Ajinkya Rahane. The Team India vice-captain was already being interviewed when Sharma chipped and asked a question. Rahane shared an advice for the youngsters when Sharma asked of his advice as the deputy has visited the Caribbean number of times.

I am really happy to be back as a vice-captain: Rahane on his role
It is to be noted that Rahane made his comeback to red-ball cricket after 18 months in the World Test Championship Final against Australia last month. On being asked of his role, he said, “I am used to this role. I was vice-captain for almost four-five years. I am really happy to be back in the team and really happy to be back as a vice-captain.”
“In the IPL, CSK has given freedom. As a player when you have been given a role, you try to fulfil. Before this in the IPL my role was to be an anchor but CSK team management gave me the freedom and they wanted me to play my natural game,” Rahane further added after his brilliant run in the IPL 2023.
