The second T20I of the 3-match between South Africa and West Indies was witness to an incredible moment involving Rovman Powell, which went on to win many hearts. Quinton De Kock played an inside-out shot over wide mid-on off the bowling of Akeal Hosein. Here, Powell chased the ball from mid-on and when he was about to stop it from hitting the ropes, he realised that two young ball boys were in his way.
In a split second, the West Indies captain decided to let the ball go to the boundary and avoid collision with those young boys. But unfortunately, he couldn’t stop his running momentum and got himself injured after going over the LED boundary sign in an awkward manner.
This effort from Rovman Powell was applauded by cricket fans across the world on social media. One user on Twitter posted the video and wrote, “SPIRIT OF CRICKET - Rovman Powell puts his body on the line and nearly injures himself instead of crashing into two little ball boys. A top humanitarian effort by the WI Captain!”

Quinton De Kock scored a fabulous hundred off 44 deliveries with 9 fours and 8 sixes for the South Africans. Although the most talked about incident of this high-scoring T20I match happened on the fifth ball of the third over in the South African innings.
The final match of this pulsating T20I series between South Africa and the West Indies is going to be played at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on March 28. Both teams are level at 1-1 so the expectation of a close finale for this series is definitely not out of the question.
